The SVP's management portfolio
Decision-Making Mechanisms
In June 2008 revised meeting arrangements within University portfolios of responsibility (which replace the former Planning and Budget Committee’s sub-committees) were finalised by portfolio heads in consultation with their stakeholders. The Senior Vice-Principal is accountable to the Vice-Chancellor for a range of activities and as such the following advisory groups are in operation as channels for decision-making.
Advisory groups within the Senior Vice-Principal’s portfolio include:
- Administrative and Business Advisory Group - The Senior Vice-Principal is accountable to the Vice-Chancellor for the development and implementation of effective and efficient administrative polices and practices and for providing strategic input and services which enable the University’s strategic plan.
- Infrastructure Planning Group advises on infrastructure and budget planning. This includes built and virtual environments, prioritisation of capital and information projects, and renewal of IT and physical assets.
