What we do
The Division of the Senior Vice-Principal aims to deliver quality services which support the core activities of the University and ensure alignment with Growing Esteem the University's strategy.
The Senior Vice-Principal formally heads the Division which comprises of four main groups: Finance and Planning Group; University Services Group; Major Projects Group; and the Governance and Compliance Group.
Reporting to each of these Groups are an extensive array of service areas executing vital functions. Led by the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance and Planning Group oversees the activites of commercialisation services; finance and insurance activities; and planning and budgets.
Under the broad direction of the Head of University Services, the activities of the University Services Group play a key role in both policy formation and operational delivery. The Group incorporates the business activities of: human resources; information technology services; marketing and communication activities; property and campus services; and student recruitment and admissions.
The Executive Director, Major Projects heads the Major Projects Group and has overall responsibility for the project planning, coordination and implementation of major University projects.
Under the broad direction of the Senior Vice-Principal the Governance and Compliance Group includes the General Counsel and Legal Services units and Internal Audit. The University administration comprises approximately 1700 staff who contribute advice and support for senior management, and the academic and external communities.
